Notice of Public Defender Contract
and Conflicts Public Defender Contracts
Wasatch County seeks an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Utah and in good standing with the Utah State Bar to act on a contract basis as a part-time Public Defender during the 2019 calendar year. Wasatch County also seeks two (2) similarly qualified attorneys to act on a contract basis as part-time Conflicts Public Defenders. (Each Conflict Defender will represent approximately half of the conflict cases). Wasatch County also seeks separate bids for additional attorneys willing to accept occasional appointments as public defenders when necessary on an hourly basis. Attorneys wanting to be considered for hourly appointments may apply by filing a Cover Letter and Resume. Applicants must have at least 5 years experience as a practicing attorney and have experience in representing persons at all stages of criminal proceedings in district, juvenile, and justice courts.
Contract bid, Cover Letter, and Resume must be submitted to the Wasatch County Personnel Office at 55 S 500 E Heber City, UT 84032.
Bids accepted until 5:00 PM Friday, November 2, 2018. Bids received after the closing date will not be considered.
Wasatch County reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
